Airport Masterplan

Adelaide Airport Masterplan

Defining a new future for Adelaide Airport by unlocking South Australia’s most sought-after landholding.

The Adelaide Airport Master Plan 2019 (Master Plan 2019) outlines the vision for the development of Adelaide Airport to support the continued growth of air travel and the State economy. Continuing to focus on sustainable outcomes, improved customer experience and finding innovative solutions, short and longer-term planning, and delivery of facilities, infrastructure, ground transport and utilities, will ensure that the airport continues to serve the people of South Australia.

The Master Plan 2019 was approved by the Federal Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development on 02 March 2020.

The Master Plan 2019 has been prepared in accordance with the Airports Act 1996 and is the primary planning document for the next eight years to 2027. It also presents the long-term strategic plans for the 20-year period through to 2039.

This document covers all aspects of airport planning and operations – from forecast aeronautical growth and associated development through to ground transport, airport safeguarding, land uses, environment strategies, aircraft noise and commercial development.

The Master Plan 2019 has been developed through extensive stakeholder and community consultation, including a 60 business day public comment period. AAL recognises the vital role our local community and stakeholders play in the operation of the airport and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our stakeholders for being a part of the Master Plan 2019 process.

Adelaide Airport will continue to engage with Commonwealth, State and Local Government authorities, aviation operators, airport tenants and the community through a range of techniques and forums.
