Export Park Transformation
Export Park Transformation Nears Completion, Creating a Greener, Cooler and More Connected Precinct for Adelaide Airport Tenants
Adelaide Airport’s Export Park precinct is undergoing a revitalisation, with significant landscaping upgrades now nearing completion. The redesigned space has been thoughtfully developed to create a welcoming, vibrant environment where tenants can relax, connect and enjoy a sense of community.
The project forms part of Adelaide Airport’s broader commitment to creating high‑quality commercial environments and enhancing the day‑to‑day experience for businesses based across the airport estate.
A Greener, Sustainable and More Comfortable Precinct
The transformation introduces substantial environmental and amenity improvements across Export Park, designed to support wellbeing, shade, cooling and biodiversity. Key sustainability initiatives include:
- Over 150 new trees and extensive native planting, boosting natural shade, improving biodiversity and helping cool the urban environment.
- Bioretention planting systems to naturally filter stormwater before it reaches Breakout Creek, improving downstream water health.
- Heat‑resistant pavements and reclaimed‑water irrigation, reducing heat absorption and supporting long‑term water conservation.
- A strong circular‑economy focus, with 36m³ of recyclables, 30 tonnes of organic waste and 6 tonnes of steel diverted from landfill, plus 150 tonnes of recycled rubble reused on site.
These sustainability features reflect Adelaide Airport’s long‑term environmental goals while creating a precinct that feels fresh, green and inviting for the people who work there every day.
New Outdoor Spaces Designed for Connection and Community
A key focus of the project is creating places that bring people together. The new plaza offers tenants more opportunities to connect, socialise and enjoy time outside the office, with upgrades including:
- Two electric BBQs
- Stone seating areas and timber benches
- New shade structures
- A drinking water fountain
- Accessible pathways and event‑ready lighting
These contemporary outdoor spaces are designed to encourage informal catch‑ups, team gatherings and a sense of community across the wider airport business precinct.
Start Using the BBQs Now — How to Book
Tenants can begin using the new facilities immediately. Bookings can be made via:
- Email: aalproperty@aal.com.au
- Key collection: 1 James Schofield Drive (Management Centre), 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday
Users are asked to clean the BBQ after use, turn it off at the switch located inside the cupboard, and return the key before the end of the day.
